I played with the mashups and the thrid party sites and liked how you could make a puzzle by using pictures. That might be a good gift for children or for people who like puzzles. I looked at the link to that took you to the flicker photographer.

Learn N play program
November 18, 2008 by charles43This program was a bit confusing. I am not really a person that blogs about anyting, I am not a blogger. I didn’t like the fact that I had to sign up an account for a lot of these tasks, even though they were all free. Also, I couln’t get it to some of the tasks that needed to be blog about. I am 22 years old and don’t know much about computers. I do the basic stuff. I did learn some new things with this program but again it was hard to get to the task that needed to be written about.
MOLDI
November 18, 2008 by charles43I clicked on some audiobook titles like “final truth” and found it can be downloaded only on PCs, DVD, or WMA. “A Mercy’ can only be downloaded by PC or WMA. MAC, Ipods, and MP3 players are also an option for downloading but not for these titles.
podcast
November 18, 2008 by charles43I messed around with some podcast websites and did a search on “libraries”. Some of these podcasts are “Check this out”, and “The Mr. Nice Guy Show”, both can be found on www.podfeed.net/tags/libraries, check them out!
Youtube
November 18, 2008 by charles43I have used Youtube for seeing funny videos, when library employees were interviewed about SRC or some of the things we do for the community. I have used Youtube a couple of times, one for a video game, and the other time were just for fun.
CML tools web 2.0
November 18, 2008 by charles43I looked through some of the CML tools like the spell check on the upper page. I used the spell check and seen that is works the same as it does on word but with the CML tools spell check makes the misspelled words red and underlined. I also like the easy ways to excess some of the library’s website like CMLsi, or your home page
Web 2.0 award list
November 18, 2008 by charles43I looked up the “cooking” catalog and look and some stuff like the “all american burger”. I liked the way the video shows how to cook and gives it to you step by step. But I don’t have internet near my kitchen, and i don’t have a laptop at this time so this wouldn’t help me when it comes to cooking but its useful in other ways and catalogs.
Google#17
November 18, 2008 by charles43I like the way I can use this program on any computer with internet and don’t have to use a disk or flash drive. I like the fact that I can use a spread a sheet format. On my personal computer at home I don’t have excel spread sheet and have been using word. I don’t have the spell check format as well. So, the google program will be great for me. This pass year I been using word format on my computer to see how much money I been spending this year. i wanted to use a spread but couldn’t. Now I know where to find it.
wikipedia
November 14, 2008 by charles43I don’t mess with wikipedia that much but in high school I would use that to help with book reports. Its an easier way to get information without reading a page by page on other websites. If you need some basic information, just go to contents area and get a break down about the subject entered.
